While we were dilly-dallying about in Santa María del Tule we found plenty of opportunities to head into the ‘big smoke’, Oaxaca’s state capital—Oaxaca.
Sometimes on our own for errands, sometimes with friends, but nearly always with a camera.

The truth is out there… although it isn’t as interesting as we’d hoped.
After spending time at Burning Man and in Las Vegas we felt we had probably come as close as possible to encountering alien life forms.
But that wasn’t going to stop us trying our luck on the Extraterrestrial Highway.
(more…)Emma had spent the entire trip through Canada peering hopefully into all the lakes and rivers trying to spot a beaver. Justin Beaver was not keen on making an appearance however.
These elusive ‘Justins’ (as they soon became known on the trip) seemed to be hiding from us.
