Not wanting to skip the key tourist spots while we were in Arizona, we stopped by the Grand Canyon and the Barringer Meteor Crater to look at two of the largest holes in the ground we are likely to see on our travels.
(more…)It was about six the morning of the third night in our roof top tent when we heard the first loud pop, which was followed about 15 minutes later by second loud pop but this time it was accompanied by the tent shaking β¦ oh dear.

Excited for you π
Pat
Thanks, hope to see you on the road in Alaska perhaps?
What Cities are you going to in Alaska? I can check what days we’ll be in them π
We aren’t exactly sure yet, we know we’ll be in Anchorage from 21-31 May.
From there we may be heading up through Fairbanks then on to Deadhorse, but we’ll also take some time to explore Denali National Park either on the way to or from Fairbanks.
We’re also interested in exploring the Kenai Peninsula and there are several roads that sound amazing to drive.
So as you can see, we don’t really have a plan, we might have a better idea closer to the timeβ¦ or we may still be winging it! (Probably still winging it)
But if you have any places on your list that you reckon we really shouldn’t miss in Alaska, please let us know π
