It isn’t often in this journey that we simply head south like we are supposed to.
We tend to get distracted, make detours, head back north and hang around interesting places. We generally take our sweet time about actually heading towards Argentina.
Making our way south from Álamos to Mazatlán was one of those few occasions where we did. We were, unbelievably, actually heading in the direction we promised to when we embarked on this trip.
(more…)I suspect it is considered a crime to visit British Columbia or Alberta and not pay a visit to Jasper and Banff.
Not wanting the Canadian Mounties to angrily chase us out of the country we made the detour to check out these two stunning but expensive highlights of Southwestern Canada.

Whoo hoo! Good work on the visas, must be a relief. And a big “to do” check mark!
Yes, one thing (of many) of the list. Now to finish some more of the renovations…
Another step closer to the dream. I bet you’re getting quite excited.
Actually had to make up a new word to describe our state of mind. Went with excitified. (Describes being somewhere on the spectrum between excited and terrified!) 🙂
